Requirements for text design

REQUIREMENTS FOR TEXT DESIGN

1. Author should specify the section, where his article should be featured.

2. The journal accepts the articles previously unpublished and not submitted for publication in other issues. The Editor in Chief sends all manuscripts for double-blind review (provided by the editorial board) and checks for plagiarism (originality of the text should be at least 90 % of the total value).

3. The size of the manuscript should be at least 18 pages and should not exceed 60 pages, including tables and graphic matter

4. Text of the article and abstract should be submitted to the editor as a file with the extension .DOC or .DOCX - document in Microsoft Word 2003 or later version. Materials should be submitted via e-mail.

5. We recommend the settings as follows:

1) 2.5 cm for page margins, 1.25 cm for page header, portrait orientation (permissible, but not desirable landscape for individual pages).

2) Font - Times New Roman, size - 11, single line spacing, no hyphenation in the document.

3) General requirements

• UDC (placed in the left upper corner of the document);
• article title (in capital letters) in Russian and English; bold, size 12 pt, placed in the centre of the document;
• information about the authors in Russian and English (see the example of article submission guidelines):

- Full name of the authors;

- Degree, position;

- Place of work and division (Institute, Department, etc.)

- Postal address of the place of work;

- E-mail of the authors;

• Abstract (in Russian and English), 200 words and more, describing the relevance and the aim of the research, methods, results, conclusions;
• Key words (5 words in Russian and English).

When inserting a formula use only Microsoft Equation 3 with installations: the elements of the formula, except for characters, perform in italics, for Greek letters and characters to use font (typeface) Symbol, for other elements use font Times New Roman (use of letters of the Russian alphabet in the formula is not desirable). The size of the basic characters of (i.e. sums, integrals etc.) - 14, lower case - 12 and all others - 10 pt. For example,

It is recommended number only the formulas that have further references. Do not type formulas for individual characters.

4) Figures inserted into the document should allow movement in the text and possibility of size reduction.. It’s acceptable to submit figures as separate files of .jpg format. You should take into account that they will be subsequently converted into black-and-white palette. Line thickness and size of signs should provide clarity and be recognizable to a possible reduction in the size of the picture in the process of editing the text of the article. Numbering is caption in the center in the form of (do not include into a figure):

5) Tables are numbered if there is more than one of them:

6) The bibliography should be made in the order of first references of the sources. In the text the number of the source in the bibliography is given enclosed in square brackets ( [13, 17] or [6, c. 24-28]).. The bibliography includes only the published works, the reference must match one source. The bibliography includes only the sources mentioned in the text.

7) Bibliography should include 15 sources or more; the reference to own works is no more than 20 % of the total number of the sources; the bibliography must obligatory contain the references to contemporary and foreign sources (20 % of the total).

Bibliography drawn up in accordance with GOST R 7.0.5-2008 «Bibliographic record. Bibliographic description».

In the list of references (bibliography below), placed in the end of the text are indicated:

• for books – last name and initials of the author, the book's full title, place of publication, publisher, year of publication, volume and issue [number of pages];
• for periodicals – last name and initials of the author, magazine title, year of publication, volume number, first and last page of the article.

Transliterated bibliography using Roman alphabet.

6. One author has the right to have one or two, not more, publications in the same issue of the journal.

7. KuzSTU authors and all graduate students are eligible for free publication and one free copy of the magazine (not more than two for co-authors).

8. Minor corrections of stylistic and formal nature shall be made without agreement with author(s). More extensive corrections shall be agreed with author(s), otherwise the article shall sent to author(s) for further revision.
